This kind of conferences & seminars help many lay people
Yes, this was a very nice event that I attended last night. It is an annual affair where the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (their office is in Ann Arbor) hosted a Dinner (in Lansing) for their sponsors and funders and they also give out awards to people in the community who have made a difference in the state in building awareness of kidney disease or have served in a significant capacity to serve those afflicted with the disease. I was one of two to represent our organization that was one of the sponsors of the event. The keynote speaker was the Director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and the honorees for the awards also gave very moving speeches.
This card that lists the key facts about kidney disease is a very informational piece that truly educates lay people about this chronic condition. I was very happy to represent our office and also to meet many interesting people. I’m so glad you noticed this post, Mom and Dad!
