That’s right: Â listen up, won’t you — God is not “dead weight”. Â Nay, God is the end-all and be-all of our existence, so you might wish to give him more than just a passing thought in your daily deliberations. Â Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, is mincing no words here when he says, “cursed is the strong one who depends on mere humans”. We often feel quite self-sufficient in our own intellect, our self-possessed minds and bodies, our sense of self and agency, and our incessant planning abilities. Â And yet, no matter how carefully we might wish to arrange things, it is foolish to discount the hand of God in every aspect of our lives. Â Where do you find yourself on this matter, gentle reader? Â
