A trio of love stories all wrapped into one and enacted by the same couple in three different periods of time makes for some initial puzzlement, but this is only of the pleasant variety because you know you don’t need to dwell too much on the details as much as you need to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! Which is what this movie is– a lovely musical that would give Broadway a run for its money. No matter the era, the plot remains intact: girl meets boy and falls for him; dark clouds of problems rear their ugly heads but only to be shooed away by good fortune that steps in to sort things out.
And whilst this plot plays out, prepare to be entertained by one song-and-dance after another– performed in fine form by the Prinyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor duo. This is one duo that isn’t lacking in good looks or chemistry and bring high-energy to the screen. Here’s a sampling:
