Some years back, I had the pleasure of crossing over the American border in the city of San Diego over to the busy town of Tijuana, Mexico. While there, like many a tourist, I browsed the wares in the very busy shopping district teeming with everything from textiles, crafts, jewelry, furniture, and pottery. This is a lovely piece that caught my eye and one that I quickly picked up. It hangs in my foyer, and is a lovely example of intricate work in unglazed ceramics.
