“This is what I want you to do: Ask the Father for whatever is in keeping with the things I’ve revealed to you. Ask in my name, according to my will, and he’ll most certainly give it to you. Your joy will be a river overflowing its banks!”
I guess the key to receiving what you ask for is to ask for that which is “in keeping with the things” that God has already revealed to you. Â And so, that begs the question: are you aware of what God has revealed to you? Â If not, perhaps you ought to work on that piece before you go asking for this and that, don’t you think? Â Because it looks like this business of petitioning God is tied up quite significantly to being aligned with God’s Word and God’s revelations to you. Â Here’s hoping that you and I are focused more on being properly aligned than in asking for things.Â
