April 17, James 1:12

“Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.”

James 1:12 MSG – A verse of the day from the Bible presented in Eugene Peterson’s contemporary version called The Message. Accompanied by a personal reflection below.

I suppose this is a desirable thing for everyone — to meet a testing challenge head-on and to “stick it out.” Sometimes we do, and sometimes we don’t. But even when we don’t, God’s love for us is not diminished. It is important that we remember this truth.
