Well, if I’m understanding you correctly, you are wondering for whom this philosophy (too much of a good can be wonderful) would apply to? My answer to that would be to both the affluent and the indigent, don’t you think? Who, in their right mind might object to too much of a good thing?! Rich, poor, old, young, anyone at all would agree that too much of a good thing CAN be wonderful! It is another matter, altogether, as to whether too much of a good thing is truly necessary or even appropriate, etc. etc.
