A great disappointment is what this movie was. It appeared to have all the right ingredients: a great cast, promising suspenseful story, some romance, great music, lovely setting, and yet, it was so sorely disappointing that had I watched it in the theatre, I would have demanded my money back! Because it was a sheer waste of time. And granted, Bollywood masala movies don’t have to make complete sense, I do understand that very basic fact, but there still ought to be that sense of satisfaction in watching a story unfold with some sense of logic; there ought to be characters that deliver performances that move you; and in a movie that is pegged as a thriller, there ought to be some thrill!
Scores of pretty faces, and that sepia lighting throughout the film does little to offer any thrills. The one and only redeeming piece of this movie is the remix dance number Dum Maro Dum. Even that is only what you’d expect from it, and nothing more. Which is saying a lot, given I couldn’t say that much for the movie overall!
