I’d like to see a longitudinal study on how social media use affects xenophobia. Does it help people realize that others around the world share many of their same values? Or do the extremists’ constant messages strengthen their own suspicion of anyone not like them?
Yes, that would be interesting. If the person is truly open-minded, he would interact with people whose view are different from their own.
