November 26, Psalm 9:1

“I’m thanking you, God, from a full heart, I’m writing the book on your wonders. I’m whistling, laughing, and jumping for joy; I’m singing your song, High God.”

Psalm 9:1 MSG – A verse of the day from the Bible presented in Eugene Peterson’s contemporary version called The Message. Accompanied by a personal reflection below.

On this eve of the American holiday called Thanksgiving, may this verse serve as a reminder to thank God with “a full heart”. It is obviously a good thing to thank our fellowmen that includes our family and friends, but let us not fail to thank God first and foremost, and from whom all blessings flow.
