This is a landmark monument in Montreal. The Oratory’s dome is the third-largest of its kind in the world after the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace of Yamoussoukro in the Ivory Coast and Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome, and the church is the largest in Canada. We had a great time climbing up to the very top, but took the elevator down! The views were spectacular, and just as impressive as the basilica was a garden called “The Way of the Cross” tucked away to one side.
