Very interesting! We have a lot of jack pine around our place in northern Wisconsin too. I wonder if this bird has gone that far west.
Interesting… although, I doubt it. I think they exclusively prefer the company of Michigan birds. That, or Bahama birds.

Washburn County, where our cabin is located, is one of only three counties in Wisconsin where this bird is present: http://www.ncrs.fs.fed.us/gla/tens/images/kirtland.gif
I’ll have to keep my eye out for it next time I’m there.
I wonder if I’ll see one in the next three days that I’m in the area…
