February 18, Psalm 27:14

“I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God.”

Psalm 27:14 MSG – A verse of the day from the Bible presented in Eugene Peterson’s contemporary version called The Message. Accompanied by a personal reflection below.

To the believer, God is always present with us, however, do we always stay with God?  The way the Psalmist phrases this thought is quite interesting in that it is an exhortation for the believer to stay with God.  To hold fast to the promises of God; to claim those promises through prayer; to be confident of God’s deliverance and goodness in all circumstances.  Are you staying with God?
