“My dear friends, don’t believe everything you hear. Carefully weigh and examine what people tell you. Not everyone who talks about God comes from God. There are a lot of lying preachers loose in the world.”

Such is the reality of life.  Not everything is the genuine article, the real McCoy.  Which is why one must be discerning and not hasty to accept and believe everything one hears.  There’s implicit faith in some things, and then there’s careful examination of other things.  May it be that we exercise care in doing both, and knowing when to do one over the other at the right time.
