Extra virgin Olive Oil is my staple to make salad-dressings, but I recently made a trip to the local Asian supermarket, and picked up a variety of herb and spice infused oils. I found a great selection of Ginger Oil, Szchewan Peppercorn Oil, Sesame Oil, and Red Chili Pepper Oil. These are potent, mind you, and must be used sparingly. Rest assured I shall experiment with gay abandon!
This past weekend, a trip to the local Chinese supermarket afforded more than some good finds: it included this sighting. I wonder if anyone from their community has chanced upon their rather unusual choice of spelling!
BTW, this was akin to a “show” in itself, which is why this image finds its home on my blog today!
