The Ann Arbor Art Fair is held from Wednesday, July 18 through Saturday July 21, 2012. Each year, more than a half a million people converge on the streets of Ann Arbor to enjoy the works of more than a thousand artists.

Each artist has been selected by an independent jury, consisting of professional artists, professors and gallery owners. As tradition has it, the Art Fair will feature a wide variety of art media, including 2D and 3D-mixed media, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry and works in metal, stone and wood.

Guests will also be treated to a number of live performances, children’s activities, artist demonstrations and sidewalk sales from Ann Arbor businesses. One of Michigan’s greatest traditions returns this summer with one of the most renowned art fairs in the nation – The Ann Arbor Art Fair, throughout Downtown Ann Arbor and Around The Central Campus of The University of Michigan.

For more than 50 years, artists from all over the world have returned to the streets of Ann Arbor, exhibiting their creative talents to more than 500,000 people each year. The Ann Arbor Art Fair is composed of four independently juried art fairs taking place simultaneously and contiguously throughout Ann Arbor. This includes Ann Arbor’s South University Art Fair; Street Art Fair, the Original; State Street Area Art Fair; and, Summer Art Fair, and the State Street Area Art Fair. The event is an art lovers destination of original works of art, street performances, culinary treats and a variety of shops featuring sidewalk sales.
