I see. I thought they were all chapati made with corn (which I never see in Indian food).
Makki di roti is very common in the North, especially Punjab. It means roti made of corn. It is served with anything but especially with sarson da saag, which is mustard greens subzi.
Interesting. I think of corn as a Mesoamerican thing.
It’s a very ordinary every day roti (makki di roti). Look for it in a Punjabi restaurant sometime. It’s served with a pat of white butter on top. Not to be confused with ghee. (Ghee is made from cooking down that white butter to clarify it)
