June 26, Hebrews 10:23

“So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.”

Hebrews 10:23 MSGA verse of the day from the Bible presented in Eugene Peterson’s contemporary version called The Message. Accompanied by a personal reflection below.

“Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out.”  That is exactly what I needed to hear today.  I think I might be running out of ways to show my love and appreciation to those around me.  But there’s really no such thing as running out of inventive ways, is there?  Not if you are determined to want to love.  Here’s hoping the desire to be inventive in all endeavors of loving our neighbor as ourselves never runs out.
