These green chillies were grown by my mother in a small planter. They were loving transformed into what are called ‘mirchi bajjis’– a popular snack item, especially in the South of India. The chillies are slit and stuffed with a chutney of tamarind and mint, then dipped into a thick chickpea batter and fried to a golden brown.
Since I couldn’t be there to have them, my loving mother sent me these pictures!
