“From scratch” means harvesting the veggies from your own veggie garden! Besides the Japanese eggplant, Tomato, Green Chillies, and Orange Bell Pepper that you see here, I also had a better half of a huge Zuchinni, and one Red Onion. Sambar means Tamarind, by the way, so that was another essential ingredient. Need I mention fresh Garlic and Cilantro? I didn’t think so!
